Sally's World
Theatre is my biggest passion.
When I'm not watching a show then I'm reading a play (or writing one!)
Over this year, I'm going to write about every play/musical that I see or read.
As we're early in to 2012 - I decided to start it off with not only the best thing I saw in 2011, but by far the best thing I've seen on stage EVER.
No other piece of theatre has left me speechless!
GHOST THE MUSICAL is going to be a tough show to beat this year, or indeed, my lifetime!
I first saw it in Manchester, the night before it closed and moved to the West End. My boyfriend is the stage manager at the theatre and I know through him how hard everyone worked on this show. The cast, creatives and stage crew were in every day rehearsing. Even when the show opened, the cast were back in the following morning tweaking bits and rehearsing. I do remember saying to my boyfriend 'Why do they have to keep rehearsing?'
And then I saw the show.
OMG! The show is not only slick, well cast and full of emotion - the magic they use is INCREDIBLE.
I cried all the way through!
Paul (who I co-run Elite Talent with) loved it just as much. He bought me the CD and to cheer ourselves up on a long working day, we'll often put the CD on and sing along!
Then Paul convinced me that we needed a day off work and a trip to London. We took a day off and he kindly treated me to a first class train ride and matinee tickets to see Ghost in the West End. It was just as briliant the second time around.
I could talk about this show forever.
